Venezuela 'protects foreign property owners'

With Venezuelan real estate having a number of "undeniable investment attractions", the country's leadership is pledged to make efforts to protect the investments of foreign property owners.
The Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez, has said that his government is committed to developing a transparent environment where investors can reap the benefits of the "growing strength, attraction and appeal" of Venezuela.
Mark Andrew, the director of Isla Margarita property specialists Emerging Earth, pointed out that Decree Number 356 ensures that property investors from other countries are treated fairly and in the same way as Venezuelan property buyers.
"Would-be investors can take great confidence from the existence of this decree which basically makes property investment in Isla Margarita even safer than real estate investment in Dubai for example, because whatever you buy in Isla Margarita is secured freehold real estate," Mr Andrew commented.
Isla Margarita was recently highlighted by Nubricks.com as an attractive place to buy property.
