Emerging markets to offer 'next tourism boom'

The world's next tourism boom will take place in emerging markets like Latin America, according to a report.
Significantly increased levels of international travel in and out of the emerging markets will help fuel the trend, Dominican Today has said.
Assistant secretary-general Geoffrey Lipman recently addressed the UK Tourism Society conference and commented that the number of potential travellers are "so huge and the logic of targeting tourism for development so pervasive that the long-term growth prospects will remain substantial by any measure", it reports.
The news may be of interest to those in the UK who are looking at Caribbean off-plan property investments factors, with Dominican Today pointing to positive factors in emerging markets, such as a growing middle class and liberalising policies.
In April, it was reported on the Safestore website that Venezuela's Margarita Island property prices are far lower than in other Caribbean destinations.
The website reports Justin Figgins, overseas property director of website Rightmove, as saying additional attractions of Margarita Island property investment include its stunning beaches and beautiful scenery.
