It may be 'an opportune time' to invest overseas

With house prices falling in the US in recent months, it may be an ideal time to invest in property overseas, it has been claimed.

Many Americans are now keen to invest in property in a foreign country, with the Caribbean being a particularly popular spot with property investors, according to Forbes.

The news provider has pointed out a number of advantages to buying property overseas and suggests investing "off the beaten path" to find the best deals.

Property portal nubricks.com recently highlighted the appeal of Margarita Island property.

Isla Margarita property investment can be half the price of properties in other Caribbean locations, according to the website.

Michael Johns, chief executive officer of The Right Move Abroad told the news provider: "Destinations such as the Margarita Islands offer an emerging tourist destination with excellent rental yields due to the urgent requirement for quality accommodation to cater for the surging tourist visitor numbers."
