Isla Margarita 'top destination for expats'
Isla Margarita has been named as top destination for British Expatriates to set up a new home.
According to the Sun newspaper, the Caribbean island is an "exotic" location for Brits to start a new life.
It adds that the many benefits of Isla Margarita include its "ideal climate" and the fact that it is situated well outside the hurricane zone.
The publication concludes that it is possible to set up home in the region for £63,000.
It was reported last month by Principal International that in terms of property investment, Isla Margarita is an "undiscovered jewel".
The online news provider adds that people looking to make an off-plan property investment on the island could see big profits from year-round rental, especially as tourism numbers in the region are rising.
A nearby international airport and ferries to mainland Venezuela, coupled with beautiful beaches and warm weather add to the area's appeal concludes the source.
