Pop stars 'to holiday in the Dominican Republic'
Pop Princesses Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera could soon be heading to the Dominican Republic, it has been reported.
According to Dominican Today, the songstresses, along with Pink, Rihanna and the Jonas Brothers, could all be heading on holiday to the nation as part of their gift bag from the recent MTV Video Music Awards.
In the bags, along with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and gadgets, was an all-inclusive, four-night stay in the Dominican Republic region of Puerto Plata.
A host of high-profile visitors to the area could boost tourism, which would be good news for anyone with a Caribbean off-plan property investment.
Meanwhile, the news provider recently reported that tourism in the nation increased during the first three months of 2008, with 6.55 per cent more people choosing it as their holiday destination than in 2007.
Figures from the country's Ministry of Tourism show that the majority of the tourist came from the US, followed by Canada.
